Dr. Emily DeSouza grew up just outside Philadelphia, PA. Go Birds!
She went to the University of Vermont for her undergraduate studies in animal science, then attended Long Island University for vet school, and finally completed a small animal rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals here in DC. Dr. DeSouza's favorite part of being a veterinarian is building strong relationships with her patients and their human families, finding ways to support them throughout their lives from kittens/puppies to adulthood.
She has a doofus, black lab, Huxley, and a witchy tuxedo cat, Elphaba. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking and kayaking, reading, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and eating her way around the DMV!
